The summer series of Play in Clay will offer introductory demonstrations in both handbuilding and wheelthrowing techniques for the beginning student. Further demonstrations and individual instruction will focus on basic and intermediate techniques and will introduce the ceramic firing process. During the 5-week session students will learn what they need to know to operate on their own in our ceramic facility so they can continue on during future non-instructional sessions independently. Advanced students are also welcome! Recommended textbook: Make It In Clay: A Beginner's Guide to Ceramics (2nd Edition) by Charlotte Speight, John Toki.
