This is an open ceramic studio for community people. Lab assistants will help to teach the basics of preparing clay, the potters wheel and hand building techniques. Lab assistants are supervised by Instructors Paul Nash and Bryce Myers. We work in the Stoneware, Porcelain, Raku, and Pit fire processes. Very advanced students can work with luster's and china paints. |

No experience necessary. This unique orinetal art form called Sumi-e literally means ink painting. Learn the concepts and techniques of Japanese painting using simple color and limited details on rice paper. You wil create the most basic and popular subject to paint, bamboo. Supplies needed: white creamic dish (shallow), wash cloth,and water well. |

Learn how to use colorful, glittering, wired ribbons to create a beautiful centerpiece for your Christmas Dinner or table decoration. They also make lovely gifts for relatives and friends. We'll be using some solid colors and printed ribbons to create contrast and interest. Please bring scissors, small box of head pins, an inquiring mind, and a cheerful attitude.
